Excerpt from The Golden Seed
Once upon a time, there was a star child named Lila who desperately wanted to come to Earth. She had been watching from above as many other star children were born, grew up, and passed back over, having many wonderful adventures during their time on Earth. They seemed to have learned so many things—about each other, and about themselves—that Lila wanted to experience this, too.
From above, and in her time working and playing in the heavens, Lila had also witnessed her beloved and fellow star children suffer during their life on Earth. She saw so much suffering, so much despair and fear, as well as so much hope and possibility, that she wanted with all her heart to go to Earth, too, so she could help and heal and be of service in some way.
Lila went straight to her guardian angel and all her guides and guardians. “I want to go to Earth,” she said. “I want to help all these people and all my fellow star children as they journey throughout their lives.”
The guardian angel, guides, and guardians looked at one another, and then at Lila. Their faces softened, radiating an expression of tenderness. “We knew this day would come,” said Lila’s guardian angel, “and we have been preparing many years for this very moment.”
Lila watched her guardians and guides with a newfound intensity and interest. She had no idea that they had been anticipating this moment.
“It had to come from you,” said one of the three of her highest guardians. “It would never have been right for one of us to suggest it.” “
But now that you have done so,” said another guardian, “it is time to prepare you for your journey.”
With that, the third guardian beckoned. “Come here, my child,” she said. “There is much to be done. Come with me and let us peer through the clouds together. You must first choose a suitable lineage, culture, race, and time into which you will descend and from which your body will take form. Let’s look upon the earth together. Do any of those beings strike you as suitable parents for the task you wish to accomplish while you are there?”
Lila looked through the clouds to the earth below. She had watched many of the other star children do this many times over, and it always appeared that they seemed to know instantly whom to choose. Lila had thought it must be a very easy process, until she was standing there herself, trying to make her decision.
Having had no experience in these matters, she became instantly overwhelmed. “I don’t know!” she cried. “There are so many. How will I know who is right for me? How will I know if they even want me?”
“Follow your heart,” said her guardian angel, “and you will know.”
